Skill Training by ICMAI: The Only Guide You Need
What is meant by skill training?
‘Skills Training’ is basically designed to provide students with the targeted training they need to gain the knowledge and abilities necessary to fulfill the specific requirements of their job positions.
What are the courses covered under skill training?
It is a 140-hour course covering
- SAP: 60 hours
- Microsoft Office: 40 hours
- Cambridge University Press Soft Skill Training: 20 hours
- E-filing training: 20 hours
Who is eligible to do skill training?
Intermediate students who have paid their full course fees are eligible.
When is the skill training course required to be undertaken?
It is required to be undertaken before appearing in both or remaining groups of CMA Intermediate Examinations, i.e., a student is eligible to give any one group before skill training. Still, if the student wishes to appear for both groups or attempt the remaining group, a skill training course needs to be undertaken.
Is it mandatory?
Yes, without a skill training course, a person might be able to appear for the exam but will not be able to get his or her result.
The skill training course is online-based. It might be live online or recorded based on the availability of batches released by ICMAI.
How to register for this training?
Students will receive their respective login credentials at their registered mail IDs only. The institute shall not be responsible for the wrong mail IDs provided by the students at the time of registration. Once registered in the system at the time of registration, mail IDs cannot be changed, altered, or modified.
Once the login credentials are received, the students must enter them at https://eicmai.in/Webinar_Portal/StudentsTraining/StudentLogin.aspx and book their slots for online classes.
Once the slots are booked, an intimation mail is received at the registered mail ID, where you can access the classes.
What is the general timeline for receiving login credentials?
Once the full fees for the intermediate course are paid and registration has been completed, if your exam term is June, the credentials will be received by March 31st, and if your exam term is December, the credentials will be received by September 30th.
What if there are no online classes at the time when the student is applying for training?
The recorded classes will be available in the skill training portal, and the student can view all the classes through the portal and complete the training.
How do you ensure the completion of skill training?
Once all the lectures have been viewed, the student can appear for the assessment test.
- This test will be conducted in online mode only.
- Exam slots for online assessments will be announced in advance and available at the portal.
- MCQ-based questions will be set.
- Each assessment test will last 2 hours for 100 marks [SAP: 50; Microsoft: 30; E-Filing: 20].
What are the minimum marks for passing the assessment test?
A student has to obtain at least 50% marks in aggregate in the ‘Skills Training’ modules to pass the assessment test.
