CMA course in India
CMA (cost and management accountancy) happens to be one of the three of most difficult qualifications in the domain of commerce studies in India. It is conducted by ICMAI (Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of India), a statutory body created by Indian government. This is a specialized qualification. CMA is pretty similar to CA (chartered accountancy) in terms of function, syllabus, nature of job, and exam patterns. One of the biggest myths about CMA is that it is second in prestige to CA in India. However, in the professional world this does not apply. Students who want to become a CMA in India are normally worried about their chances of landing a high-paying job.
Course details and material
CMA happens to be a professional qualification and in order to earn it you would have to clear three exams — CMA Foundation, CMA Final, and CMA Intermediate which is also known as CMA Inter. CMA Foundation has four subjects or one group while the latter two stages have two groups each which means eight subjects in all. If you want to become a CMA in India you may wonder if you need to enroll in coaching classes or tuition classes to complete your preparation in time or not.
Study plan
Are you studying for CMA? In that case, you would either be a working professional or a full-time student? In both these cases you need to remember that your study plans for the examination would be different. In fact, the differences in this case would be significant. There are some tips that you need to keep in mind in this context with the first being that you must never study more than a couple of subjects in a day. If you study too much you would end up diluting your preparation and most probably not remember what you studied.
Preparation strategy
There are certain tips that you can keep in mind as part of your preparation strategy for the examination. Make sure that you maintain a mistake copy. The mistake copy would contain details of a point where you got stuck during your preparation and your way to come out of it. Maintain a formulae sheet. Having a sheet with all the formulae makes sure that you do not waste time in checking them. Also, do not ignore any part of the exam syllabus. This means focusing on workbooks, PTPs (practice test papers), RTPs (revision test papers) and MTPs (mock test papers).
Make sure during the preparation phase you hang out only once a week and no more than that. You can eat out only once a week and it should preferably be on a weekend. However, make sure that you have finished studying for the day before that. Always choose the periods of day when you have the maximum silence at home to study the toughest parts of the syllabus as that way you can focus effectively. Please remember that this is not merely a professional qualification but a memorable and long journey that you need to enjoy to be successful.
